This version is for OS 8.5 and above only. If you're using OS 8.0 or 8.1 you should use version 1.3.7 instead.
What does ╥Wapp pro╙ do?
"Wapp pro" is a window switcher. It displays a menu with every window opened in every application. You can now easily switch to any window (even in the hidden applications).
╩
╩
But that's not all : "Wapp pro" is more than a simple window switcher.
You can quit or hide an application with a single click (or with a single key press) without having to switch to it. You can also quit all the applications (except the ones you have chosen, like SpeedDoubler╔) or hide them.
You can navigate trough the window list or through the application list with the keyboard.
You have three special ways of invoking the Wapp pro menu : click&hold in a window's title bar, click everywhere with modifiers keys, and click in hot spots...
And more features that you can discover in the control panel.

Shareware
"Wapp pro" is $10 shareware because I spent many hours to develop it. It's cheap and has many features. So please, if you decide to keep "Wapp pro", support shareware and pay the shareware fee. It enables you to use any future version of Wapp pro and it helps me develop more cool stuff.

Ñ either you register online at http://order.kagi.com/?Q7R&S for secure connection or http://order.kagi.com/?Q7R for non-secure connection.
Ñ either you use the Register application that comes with the archive to use Kagi processing.
Ñ either you send me $10 cash to my postal address. But this will be longer to process your registration.
Distribution
"Wapp pro" may be freely distributed via electronic bulletin boards, user groups and person to person. When distributed, all accompanying files are to be distributed too.
The latest version should be available on Info-Mac.
"Wapp pro" can be put on any other site or included on any CD-ROM, but please tell me if you do, so I can send updated versions when available.

Version History
September, 1999: Version 2.2.2 for OS 8.5+
Corrected a problem with the Auto-hide feature. With that feature enabled, selecting an application with Wapp pro's menu could switch to a different application.
When Default Folder was installed, the recent files menu from a Navigation Services dialog was blinking when clicking on the button. Fixed.
Corrected a problem with resizing the Application Switcher palette.
I removed the memory info for the Finder in the Application Switcher menu as it has been confusing for some people.
Fixed a small memory leak in the control panel.
September, 1999: Version 2.2.1 for OS 8.5+
Due to an incompatibility with Mercutio MDEF, applications that used this MDEF couldn't quit anymore with Command Q. To correct this, I had to remove the shortcuts that appeared in Wapp pro's menu for Quit All, Hide All..... The shortcuts still work but simply don't appear anymore in the menu.
Corrected a problem with the display of shortcuts for Quit All, Hide All..... in the control panel. Depending on your keyboard configuration you might not have experienced this problem.
September, 1999: Version 2.2 for OS 8.5+
The "Commands" pane has been completely changed with new features added :
- the commands "Quit All", "Hide All", "Quit Others" and "Hide Others" can now have shortcuts.
- you can choose to have to confirm your action each time you select "Quit All" or "Quit Others" command. An alert dialog will then appear asking you to confirm the action.
The control panel has received a new lifting with enhanced feature explanations.
The reminder message now only appears after the 30 days of trial.
Corrected a problem with handling clicks in the Application Switcher palette.
August, 1999: Version 2.1 for OS 8.5+
Ñ New features :
- Once again I reorganised the control panel, with a new pane called "Advanced". Things should be clearer now.
- Wapp pro can now make the difference between two copies of the same application running at the same time. But for that, THE NAMES HAVE TO BE DIFFERENT.
- Added the option of auto-hiding the previous application when switching applications with Wapp pro's menu or with the keyboard shorcuts (This ONLY applies when using Wapp pro's menus or Wapp pro's keyboard cycling shortcuts. If you activate an application by the Application Switcher or directly by clicking in one of its windows, the previous application will NOT be hidden).
- You can now have the normal Wapp pro's menu AND the embedded menu at the same time.
- Added an option to display the popup menu as a copy of the Applications menu instead of Wapp pro's standard menu.
- Added a new shortcut to switch to the previously frontmost application.
- Added an option to completely enable/disable Navigation Services enhancement.
Ñ Bugs fixed :
- The crash problems encountered when navigating through the content of Finder's windows are solved.
- Fixed a problem with the Hide All command when the behavior was set to "Hide all except the Finder".
- Fixed a problem in the control panel with the when entering bad shortcuts.
- Corrected a problem with the shareware reminder.
July, 1999: Version 2.0 for OS 8.5+
The real new important feature is that control-clicking or clicking&holding on a button from the application switcher window will bring a popup menu with the windows of the specific application.
50% of the code has been rewritten from the ground.
Now choosing Hide will hide the application in the background, without switching to it before hiding, like it was the case in older versions.
A new set of exclusion to exclude applications from being hidden when using the "Hide All" or "Hide Others" functions has been added.
Now the exclusions for "Quit All" apply to both "Quit All" and "Quit Others" which is more logical.
The code for showing popmenus at hot spots or by a set of modifier keys has been rewritten as well due to some problems with some system configurations.
The Desktop can now be shown as a Finder window.
There are also some minor bugs fixed.
May, 1999: Version 1.6.2 for OS 8.5+
The popup menu activation could have been sporadic with v1.6.1. Fixed
Selecting an item from the popup menu in a Navigation Services dialog, when the option "Popup Finder windows menu instead of Wapp pro's menu" was checked was opening the item in the Finder. Fixed.
May, 1999: Version 1.6.1 for OS 8.5
Under Mac OS 8.6 the feature to quit/hide applications didn't work with the keys Q/H, but only with modifier keys. Fixed.
In the Finder, when trying to activate the contextual menu by control-clicking in a window's titlebar, Wapp pro's menu was displayed instead. Fixed.
Should fix more problems with multiple screens systems.
May, 1999: Version 1.6 for OS 8.5
Corrected a strange bug that appeared on some machines : when the user clicked and stay clicked, it was changed in a single click. It was therfore impossible to drag windows, use some tools in drawing programs.....
To correct that problem I had to change the way to quit/hide applications with single keys. Now pressing H or Q will change the cursor, and the application will quit/hide when the item is selected in the menu (before, pressing the key was closing the menu directly).
In the Finder, when trying to activate the contextual menu by control-clicking in a window's titlebar, Wapp pro's menu was displayed instead. Fixed.
Fixed some problems (some, not all) with the activation of the popup menu at the screen edges with several monitors configuration.
April, 1999: Version 1.5.1 for OS 8.5
Some bugs fixed that could cause applications to quit when using Wapp pro's menu.
March, 1999: Version 1.5 for OS 8.5
Ñ New features :
- This version is for 8.5 and above only.
- Code rewritten to take advantage of the Icon Services and of the Menu Manager 2.0.
- Supports 32-bits icons in Wapp pro menu.
- In the Finder, Wapp pro can now display the contents of the folders.
- Now Wapp pro includes a Click-There-It-Is-like feature in Navigation Services : In the Navigation Services, holding the command key will change the cursor into a pointing hand. Clicking in a visible Finder window will display the content of that window in the Navigation Service dialog.
- In the Navigation Services dialogs also, Wapp pro insert 2 menus where you can have easy access to the windows opened in the Finder, the favorite folders. All these menus display their content in submenus.
Ñ Bugs fixed :
- The activation of the popup menu at the screen edges should work on multiple screens systems.
- Fixed some problems of popup menu activation with third-parties mouses.
